Serenade: in many regions, on the night before the Wedding Ceremony the Groom organizes a romantic serenade under the window of his future wife. He is usually accompanied by a musician and by some of their best friends.
I had the honour to attend one of these last night and it was incredible. This particular bride was switched on and twiged that something was happening, so the day before yesterday we(family) orchestrated a small play play serenade just to make her think it was it.
Yesterday(her birthday & 3 days before the wedding) we all came together at her house for her birthday celebrations, waiting in anxious anticipation for the real serenade to start.
The groom mysteriously disappers to the shop with a few of the other men and a long while later there is the sweet sound of an Italian folk love song, a few seconds later erruptions of screaming the brides name is matched by the song which has now become a joyous, lively one. Chiara, the bride, is shocked, and rushes out onto the balcony where she is meet with a view of about 50 of her close friends(her family was behind her for her 'birthday')singing along to a band that was complete even with an accordian!
Tears everywhere! It has be be one of the most romantic things i have ever witnessed! EVER. This was also the deciding factor that i would like to be serenaded when my time comes to get married.
So to my future husband, who i am trusting in God to provide, i would like you to serenade me in the most romantic, tradtional way you can. Cheesy band and all! That is your brides hearts desire. Take it, leave it or buy a cup of coffee with it.
Its caio for now!
Me too me too! It sounds so romantic! missing you chick! Enjoy the rest of your time.....love you xx
